----- INTRODUCTION -----
This was to be a series of lessons designed to assist beginners who don't have
access to a teacher or a knowledgeable friend, so they can start learning to
play guitar. I was initially motivated to attempt this project, due to an
obligation to a friend of mine in Illinois. I couldn't assist her pursuit of
guitar playing in person, so I wanted to do what I could via weekly lessons
sent to her by mail. That didn't last very long,... She needed someone right
there. So now, I have these pages which are a nice start on some guitar
education. I hope you find them helpful!
I didn't begin this project via setting a curriculum outlining the sequence
through which the student would pass. The reason for this is in line with the
initial purpose of these lessons - to help that one friend. So, the course of
lessons was meant be in accordance with whatever turned out to be her most
urgent need in terms of learning to master the guitar. My fundamental belief,
is that the guitar is simply a tool; a channel, if you will, which the music
occurs through. As such, the lessons were to be aimed at teaching music;
music, within the manner in which it is capable of occurring on the
guitar (that, being the current tool in use). Alas, with the student now
disinterested, all that's left is what I finished before that happened -
a few pages designed to teach basic handling and maintenance re. guitars.

----- DEDICATION -----
I dedicate this project to the daughter who was kidnapped from me, and
wrongfully deprived of having her father - Eileen. If the Illinois court system
hadn't been dead-set against allowing her to have the advantages and nurturing
benefits of having her father present in her life, she would have been the
primary recipient of the knowledge I'll be attempting to pass on in these
lessons. The chances of me ever being able to see her again are virtually zero;
more likely, that I'll die before she's set free of being Mary's livestock slave
property by virtue of attaining 18 years old. (I have health problems.) Even
though my fatherhood and constitutional rights were raped and I was forced to
flee beyond the criminal conspiracy's malicious reach, I still love Eileen -
so, I dedicate these lessons she'll probably never see, to her.
