-----  BACKGROUND INFO  -----

This song was written as a means of expressing how I feel about the loss of my daughter, and the conditions she's been forced to suffer. It's also a statement about the conclusions I reached, as I struggled to understand why the infliction of such a terrible, crippling severance of fatherhood had been endorsed by the courts and their puppets, the police. Unfortunately, understanding doesn't make it hurt any less, or make the ramifications of their crimes any less crippling to me or my daughter. At best, it just relieves me of self-doubts and any reasonable assignment of responsibility for having failed in my attempts to obstruct the crimes.

The foundation of the music of this song is done on viola; an instrument I'm still working on mastering the voice of. As such, this song is still a work in progress; no copies are available for listening to online, and won't be until I've become satisfied that I can't improve the lyrics, melody, and/or my performance of the piece any further than it's reached. Then, of course, there will be the issue of accessory instrumentation for accompanying the viola & vocals. In the meantime, you can read the lyrics. I hope they speak to you; can reach you; can persuade you to face what's really going on in our media, courts, and legislatures. A society that doesn't place integrity of family as an item of high value is a sick society, that needs to do the hard work required to recover health and happiness.

==============================

The wind, it howls outside
And covers up the sound
of my little girl crying,
So far away.

So far away.

The moon, it floats up above
And doesn't understand
why my little girl doesn't get loved,
So far away.

So far away,

I don't need a preacher, to tell me what's wrong.
I don't need a doctor, to hand me a gun.
I don't need a lawyer, to sell my child's soul.
There's only one thing that I need,
And, it won't come

While she's kept so far away.

So far away.

She was kidnapped in court, from the daddy who loves her -
At home with a monster, who thinks she's a mother;
And a psychopath brought in to be a step-father.
She's been beaten, molested - and, the powers-that-be
All refuse to acknowledge her desperate need

To make sure she grows up without any father,
And make sure her mother gets whatever she wants,
They claim it's just the cost of social change -
That, to make a new omelette, you got to break some eggs!

They'll warp the foundations of society
In the service of their self-centered power & greed -
And, to make sure that nothing disrupts what they've planned,
They'll make sure she's kept so far away.

So far away.

The wind, it moans outside
And carries in the cold of a deep dark night,
So far away.

So far away.

The trees, they sag under snow
And can't comprehend
why my little girl is left all alone,
So far away.

So far away.

I don't need a preacher, to tell me what's wrong.
I don't need a doctor, to hand me a gun.
I don't need a lawyer, to sell my child's soul.
There's only one thing that I need,
And, it won't come

While she's kept so far away.

So far away.

-----  IN CONCLUSION  -----

It's my hope that in posting the lyrics for the song,
"SO FAR AWAY (THE WIND HOWLS)",

I'll have made some small contribution
toward obstructing the epidemic
of unrestrained and unacknowledged damage
to families, fathers, and children
that's become a contagious crippling illness
in the heart of the "western" societies.

This is a gift of spirit, for whoever listens.
May you be guided and protected as you pass through life!
