The chances are good, that some of the potential readers of
this page already know about "the place of good
fortune". It's also probable that there are many who
suspect its existence, but haven't really had any way of
describing what their intuition tries to clue them into.
And, of course, there will be some who will reject the
concept out-of-hand. (Sad, but true - it's their own doing,
and their own loss of good fortune.)
The place of good fortune is not a physical place, in the
usual sense of the term physical. Instead, it's more
extensive than merely physical. It's an area of
probabilities; the kind of place where a coin flip
determines what might happen - but, in the place of good
fortune, the coin is more likely to land the way you need it
to, than not.
At any given moment, you can feel right about who you are
and what you are doing, or not. Not feeling right about
yourself is an obstacle to being in the place of good
fortune. The gut knowledge that you are being a good person
is important.
For the scientific-minded, it works like this: The sustained
focus of attention combined with the intention of being in
that place of spirit where good things happen, triggers
synchronicity. The nature of the object of focus makes the
synchronistic result fall into the category of serendipity.
The lack of precision of focus (no particular event
selected) causes the serendipitous outcome to occur in
whatever manner is most likely; i.e., whatever fortuitous
turn of events would result in the fewest contradictions to
other expectations, is the one which will occur. (This could
be thought of as similar to an electric current following
the path of least resistance.)
The place of good fortune is a place of spirit. In that
place, self can be thought of as being mind, body, and
circumstances. Any one of these three aspects can become
the outlet for the fortuitous turn of events.
IN CONCLUSION
I hope you've enjoyed my little story about "The Place
